1 killed, 1 hurt in Masbate shooting incident

A motorcycle passenger was killed while the driver was injured when a riding-in-tandem shot at them in Aroroy town in Masbate province

LEGAZPI CITY — A motorcycle passenger was killed while the driver was injured when a riding-in-tandem shot at them in Aroroy town in Masbate province on Tuesday, February 28, a police report showed.

In an initial investigation by police, the two victims were traveling through the street in Barangay (village) Nabongsoran when the suspects shot at them at around 3 p.m.

The Community Police Assistance Center (CPAC)-Aroroy identified the deceased as Noli Yamson, a resident of Sitio (sub-village) Matungao in Barangay Cabangclan, Aroroy, and the injured victim as Mark Bryan Francisco, 30, and a resident of Purok (zone) 6, Barangay Ibingay in Masbate City.

Francisco was taken to the Municipal Hospital of Aroroy and later admitted to Masbate Provincial Hospital for treatment.
