LUCENA CITY — The Quezon police force confiscated more than P5.1 million worth of illegal drugs and arrested 1,113 suspected criminals in the province during their operations in February.
Quezon police chief Col. Ledon Monte said in a report issued Wednesday afternoon, that anti-narcotics operatives conducted 106 operations and nabbed 120 alleged drug traffickers last month.
Authorities seized 251.47 grams of shabu (crystal meth) and 121.24 grams of marijuana with a combined value of P5,173,634 in the street market during the period.
Also arrested in February were 165 wanted felons and 705 illegal gamblers mostly engaged in the illegal operation of the state-sanctioned lottery, card games, and other forms of unlawful gambling.
Further, law enforcers in the province nabbed 71 illegal fishers, 44 illegal loggers, and eight individuals in possession of undocumented firearms during the period.
