With only thin clouds hovering over PH, expect fair weather this weekend
MANILA, Philippines — While the northeast monsoon is still in effect, a generally fair and warm weather can be expected in most parts of the country this weekend as only a few cloud bands are seen over the archipelago according to the state meteorologists.
Weather updates from the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) on Friday afternoon also showed that no weather disturbances are expected to enter or form inside the Philippine area of responsibility in the next three days.
However, isolated rain showers may still occur over parts of Luzon affected by the northeast monsoon or amihan, including Metro Manila.
For Saturday, temperatures in Tuguegarao and Laoag would be slightly colder at 23 to 29 degrees Celsius and 24 to 28 degrees, respectively. Baguio would have something between 15 to 23 degrees; Tagaytay with 20 to 29 degrees; Metro Manila with 22 to 32 degrees; Legazpi with 23 to 31 degrees; and Puerto Princesa with 24 to 33 degrees.
It would also be warm over Visayas and Mindanao: Cebu may have temperatures of 26 to 29 degrees Celsius; Tacloban with 24 to 31 degrees; Iloilo with 26 to 30 degrees; Cagayan de Oro with 23 to 30 degrees; Zamboanga with 24 to 33 degrees; and Davao with 25 to 31 degrees.
Article continues after this advertisementA gale warning remains raised over the northern waters of Luzon, particularly those surrounding the seaboards of La Union, Ilocos Norte and Ilocos Sur, Batanes, and Cagayan including Babuyan Islands.
Article continues after this advertisementPagasa warned the fisherfolk in the area, along with small boat operators to refrain from sailing as sea condition would range from rough to very rough, with waves reaching heights of 2.8 meters to 4.5 meters.
