LUCENA CITY — Police arrested Wednesday two “high-value” targets in the government’s anti-illegal drug campaign and seized more than P2.3 million worth of shabu (crystal meth) in San Pablo City in Laguna province.
Colonel Randy Glenn Silvio, Laguna police chief, said in a report Thursday, Feb. 16, that anti-illegal drugs operatives held at 8:17 p.m. alias “Chelle” and “Ryan” after selling P30,000 worth of meth to a poseur buyer in Barangay San Cristobal.
Seized from the suspects were a plastic sachet and three knot-tied plastics containing shabu weighing 350 grams with an estimated Dangerous Drugs Board value of P2,380,000 at the standard P6,800 per gram.
Authorities were tracking the source of the illegal drugs.
Police tagged the suspects as high-value individuals on the police drug watch list.
Silvio said the suspects were from Metro Manila and were planning to distribute illegal drugs in the province.
Both suspects are under police custody and face charges of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
