Pasig River Ferry Service goes pet-friendly

Pets are now allowed to ride in the Pasig River Ferry Service, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) said on Monday.

MANILA, Philippines – Pets are now allowed to ride in the Pasig River Ferry Service, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) said on Monday.

In its guidelines, the MMDA said pets should be placed inside an enclosed carrier or cage when boarding the ferry.

Any types of pet are allowed, the agency said, as long as they will not harm or pose a threat to other ferry passengers.

Pets may ride in all the 13 stations of the Pasig River Ferry Service:

• Pinagbuhatan

• Kalawaan

• San Joaquin

• Maybunga

• Guadalupe

• Hulo

• Valenzuela

• Lambingan

• Sta. Ana

• PUP (Polytechnic University of the Philippines)

• Quinta

• Lawton

• Escolta

The Pasig River Ferry Service followed the move of the Light Rail Transit Line 2 and the Metro Rail Transit Line 3.
