LUCENA CITY — Two students who were allegedly engaged in a pot session were arrested on Thursday night (January 26) in Batangas City, police said.
In a report Friday, the Batangas police said patrolling police officers spotted the suspects, who are 20- and 22-year-old students, in the act of smoking dried marijuana leaves, or “weed,” while standing on one corner of a gasoline station in Barangay Dalig around 11:30 p.m.
Police seized a plastic sachet of dried marijuana leaves weighing four grams, one small glass tube, and weed-sniffing paraphernalia from the suspects.
The suspects were detained at the local police jail and are facing a formal complaint for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
