Teacher in Batangas City catches student with marijuana in bag

BOC spoils sugar smuggling

LUCENA CITY — A school teacher turned over a 16-year-old student to the police on Wednesday after she caught him with marijuana inside the classroom in Batangas City.

In a report Thursday, the Batangas police said the teacher brought her student to the local police station around 1:30 p.m.

The report said some students told the teacher during class that they saw marijuana inside the suspect’s bag.

The teacher approached the suspect and requested him to open his bag, which yielded three plastic sachets of weed weighing 10 grams.

After documentation at the police station, the student was brought to the local social welfare office for proper disposition. INQ
