MANILA, Philippines — Some P13.6-million worth of crystal meth or “shabu” was seized from a “big-time” drug suspect in Cebu on Friday, said the Philippine National Police (PNP).
The PNP in a report said suspect Lunicito Juario Labitad, who was referred to as among the big-time drug personalities in Central Visayas, was arrested by the police and members of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency during a buy-bust operation in Sitio Upper Bagacay, Barangay Tayud Consolacion at around 12:15 a.m.
Seized from the suspect were around two kilograms of suspected shabu valued at P13.6 million.
Labitad, according to the PNP, will be facing complaints for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. — Niña Cuasay, INQUIRER.net trainee
