LUCENA CITY — Three alleged high-value illegal drug traffickers were arrested on Thursday and Friday, Jan. 26 and 27 in Rizal province, the Region 4A police said in a report.
The San Mateo town drug enforcement unit arrested at 12:24 a.m. Friday Joyce Ann Zulieta and seized more than P480,000 worth of “shabu” (crystal meth) during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Guitnang Bayan 2.
Recovered from her were three plastic sachets of meth weighing 35.02 grams worth about P242,880 in the Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB) valuation.
In Rodriguez town, anti-narcotics operatives collared Joel Tamang and Jennifer Antolin in a drug sting at 6:15 a.m. on Thursday in Barangay San Isidro.
The two were reportedly found in possession of 12 sachets of shabu weighing 35 grams worth P238,000 as per DDB valuation.
The police classified the three arrested suspects as high-value targets in its anti-illegal drug campaign.
All suspects were detained at the local police jails and face charges of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. INQ
