Three suspects yield more than P600,000 ‘shabu’ in Rizal drug sting

Police have arrested three drug suspects and seized more than P600,000 worth of "shabu" in a buy-bust operation in Binangonan, Rizal.

LUCENA CITY — Police arrested three drug suspects on Thursday (January 19) and seized more than P600,000 worth of “shabu” (crystal meth) in a buy-bust operation in Binangonan, Rizal.

In a report Friday, Col. Dominic Baccay, Rizal chief of police, said members of the local drug enforcement unit nabbed “Novie”, 35; “Rowena”, 60; and “Jeff”, 43, at around 7 p.m. after they sold a pack of shabu to a poseur-buyer in Barangay Darangan.

Authorities seized from the suspects eight plastic sachets of meth weighing 91.06 grams with an estimated Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB) value of P619,280.

Police were investigating the source of the illegal drugs.
