Suspected Tiñga drug gang member arrested in Taguig
MANILA, Philippines — A suspected member of the Tiñga drug syndicate has been arrested by police in Taguig City after he yielded P95,000 worth of crystal meth or shabu and illegal firearms, said the police.
Taguig City police in a report confirmed that suspect Bernardo Tiñga, 56, was collared along P. Mariano Street in Barangay Ususan last Friday.
A search warrant issued by Branch 15 of the Regional Trial Court in Taguig City led to the seizure of various items, including crystal meth with an estimated street value of P95,200, a. 45-caliber pistol, and six rounds of live ammunition.
The Tiñga drug syndicate, according to the city government, is “notorious” for drug trafficking not just in Taguig City but in other parts of Metro Manila as well.
