Two nabbed for illegal possession of firearms, explosives in Las Piñas City

Two men were arrested for alleged illegal possession of firearms and explosives in Las Piñas City.

MANILA, Philippines — Authorities have arrested two men for alleged illegal possession of firearms and explosives in Las Piñas City.

In a report, the Southern Police District (SPD) said suspects Roel Andrade, 41, and Arturo Kalim, 43, were collared on Wednesday night in a buy-bust operation in front of a fast food restaurant at Samata Village, Barangay Talon Singko.

Seized from the suspects were one rifle grenade and one .38 caliber pistol with four live ammunition, according to the SPD.
