Toyota teams up with PNP to provide free road assistance in Luzon

MANILA, Philippines—In cooperation with the Philippine National Police (PNP), a team from Toyota Motor Philippines will be deployed in strategic points within Luzon starting Thursday until Easter Sunday to provide assistance to motorists traveling to and from their provinces for the Holy Week, a police spokesman said.

Chief Superintendent Agrimero Cruz Jr. said the annual non-profit, civic-oriented service activity tagged as the Toyota Motorist Assistance Campaign, will offer motorists free inspection, free roadside assistance and emergency repairs.

For PNP’s part, its chief, Director General Nicanor Bartolome directed all concerned police units to give necessary security and safety services by co-locating police assistance desks to complement the assistance teams of Toyota during the duration of the Lenten break.

Toyota motorist teams will be deployed in Caltex Stations in Upper Session Road, Baguio City; Rosario, La Union; Urdaneta City, Pangasinan; Narvacan, Ilocos Sur; Tagaytay City; Calamba, Laguna; Calauag Quezon; and Naga City, Camarines Sur.
