Select roads in Metro Manila blocked for weekend repairs — MMDA

The Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) warned motorists of possible moderate to heavy traffic due to road reblocking and repairs along three major roads in Metro Manila from January 13 to January 16.

MANILA, Philippines — The Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) warned motorists of possible moderate to heavy traffic due to road reblocking and repairs along three major roads in Metro Manila from January 13 to January 16.

“The Department of Public Works and Highways will undertake reblocking and repairs on the following roads starting 11 p.m. tonight [Friday],” the MMDA said in a statement on Friday.

The roads that will be unpassable include:

  1. C-5 Service Road in Pasig City (Barangay Bagong Ilog, near Rizal Medical Center and along Julia Vargas corner of Lanuza Avenue, Barangay Ugong near Valle Verde 5)
  2. Third lane of C-5 Road Southbound in Makati City
  3. EDSA Southbound in Quezon City (Balingasa Creek to Oliveros Footbridge)

According to the MMDA, these affected roads will be fully passable by January 16, at 5 a.m.

“Motorists are advised to take alternate routes,” said the MMDA.
