/ 07:09 AM April 03, 2012

THE Department of Agrarian Reform in Negros Oriental joined the celebration of Women’s Month with the theme “Women weathering climate change: Governance and accountability, everyone’s responsibility.”

The celebration opened with a fun walk last March 20 by the DAR provincial personnel.

A symposium on violence against women and children was held last March 23 at PHCCI Hostel with guest speakers Claire Bangaysiso, political officer of Vice President Jejomar Binay and Phoebe Tan of Silliman University Women’s Center.

The culminating program on April 3 and 4 will highlight a seminar workshop on disaster preparedness and risk reduction management.
