Liza Marcos ‘sick and tired’ of people using her name to get appointments in gov’t

MANILA, Philippines — First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos has given a warning to those purportedly using her name to secure an appointment in the government.

In a video message shared by Presidential Security Group Commander Col. Demy Zagala on Saturday, the first lady said she was “sick and tired” of people using her name.

“I am sick and tired of people using my name,” Araneta-Marcos said.

Marcos also said she has nothing to do with the appointments of officials in the Intelligence Service of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (ISAFP).

The first lady, who did not mention names, said she would tell President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. not to appoint somebody using her name.

“I just want everyone to know that I have nothing to do with ISAFP, I don’t know the people involved. And if I found out somebody’s using my name, I shall tell my husband not to appoint you, okay?  So I hope this is clear to everyone,” the first lady further said.
