Over P1.4 million ‘shabu’ seized in Naga City
]LEGAZPI CITY — Authorities arrested Thursday two alleged high-value drug traders and recovered P1,496,000 worth of “shabu” (crystal meth) during a buy-bust operation in Naga City, Camarines Sur province.
Senior Master Sergeant Tobias Bongon, Naga City police spokesperson, said Jerson Nebria, 39, and Robert Luna, 29, sold at 8:24 a.m. a sachet of shabu worth P75,000 to an undercover agent in Barangay Cararayan.
Nebria was tagged as top 10 in the recalibrated database on illegal drugs in Naga City.
During the body search, police officers and agents from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency recovered two sachets of shabu weighing 175 grams and digital weighing scale, while confiscated from the possession of Luna were four sachets or 20 grams of shabu.
Bongon said 220 grams of shabu were recovered from the suspects, who face charges of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. INQ
