MANILA, Philippines – Cloudy skies and rain showers will prevail in parts of the country on Friday due to the shear line, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) on Friday.

(Currently, the shear line is affecting the eastern part of Northern and Central Luzon, while the northeast monsoon continues to affect the rest of Northern Luzon).

The northeast monsoon or “amihan,” is also expected to bring cloudy skies and rain to Apayao, Cagayan Valley, and Aurora, according to the state weather bureau.
