Aeta kids in Angeles City get gifts from BCDA employees

ANGELES CITY — At least 200 children in the Aeta village of Sapang Bato in this city on Thursday received gift bags of food, toys, clothes, and books from employees of the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA).

Around 467 BCDA employees donated the items, according to Lani Macasaet, BCDA vice president for public affairs.

“This is our way of giving back to the community,” said Richard Cepe, BCDA vice president for land and assets development, during the program in Sitio Target.

Other groups, such as the Abacan River and Angeles Watershed Advocacy Council Inc. and Kapatirang Aeta ng Angeles-Porac para sa Kalikasan at Agrikultura (Kaap-Ka), and their partners, gave vitamins to younger children.

Kaap-Ka chair Fren Pan thanked BCDA employees and requested them to help give farm animals like carabaos and goats for long-term economic support. INQ
