MANILA, Philippines — Among schools with at least 50 examinees, the Centro Escolar University (CEU) – Makati topped the November 2022 Dentist Licensure Examination, said the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) on Tuesday.
The PRC explained that to be declared as a top performing school in the exam, the schools must have at least an 80% passing rate and at least 50 applicants, as per the Commission Resolution No. 2017-1058 C series of 2017.
While three schools had a 100% passing rate, they had less than 50 applicants, according to the PRC’s list. CEU-Las Piñas had four applicants, the Davao Medical School Foundation had 43 and University of the Philippines (UP)-Manila had 14 examinees.
According to the PRC, top-performing schools that fit the said criteria are as follows:
- CEU – Makati, 128 examinees — 95.93%
- University of Baguio, 65 examinees — 93.85%
- CEU- Malolos, 73 examinees — 86.30%
At least three schools also recorded a 0% passing rate, but all had only one applicant, each who took the exam. The single applicants could not pass, resulting in a 0% rate for the school.
