Tourism regional director in Western Visayas replaced
BACOLOD CITY — Negrense Cristine Mansinares has been replaced as regional director of the Department of Tourism (DOT) in Western Visayas.
Mansinares, a former Negros Occidental tourism officer, was replaced by Chrisanta Marlene Rodriguez based on DOT Order 2022-15.
The order did not state the new assignment of Mansinares.
Mansinares, in a statement issued on Friday, December 16, thanked everyone who helped and supported her as director of the DOT in Western Visayas”.
“I have given the instructions to the DOT Region VI staff for the composition of a Transition Committee to plan for a smooth turnover of the office of the regional director as I wrap up most expeditiously pending official business in the office, and await instructions from higher authorities relative to the exact date of turnover of responsibilities,” she said.
Mansinares said she wishes her successor well as she embarks on a journey of leading the tourism sector of Western Visayas.
