Farmer shot dead in Camarines Sur
LEGAZPI CITY – A 44-year-old farmer was shot and killed Saturday, December 17, by an unidentified assailant in Lupi town in Camarines Sur province.
Police Senior Master Sergeant Jessie Baybay, an investigator of Lupi police, said that while attending the wake of his cousin in Barangay (village) Colacling, Manuel Lumaban was shot by an unidentified man around 12:10 a.m.
The victim, who sustained gunshot wounds in the head, died while being taken to a hospital.
Police recovered seven fired and two unfired cartridge cases for a caliber .45 gun at the crime scene.
Baybay said they were conducting further investigations to establish the motive behind the killing.
