CA confirms appointments of 3 Cabinet officials

MANILA, Philippines — The powerful Commission on Appointments (CA) has confirmed three members of President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.’s Cabinet.
No member objected when the CA confirmed on Wednesday the appointments of the following:
- Ivan John Enrile Uy as Secretary of the Department of Information and Communications Technology
- Raphael Lotilla as Secretary of the Department of Energy
- Renato Solidum as Secretary of the Department of Science and Technology
The CA’s committee on transportation also started the confirmation hearing on Transportation Secretary Jimenez Bautista’s appointment but suspended the proceeding for lack of material time.
