MANILA, Philippines — The Office of the Ombudsman announced on its Facebook page on Tuesday that it would give free clearances on Dec. 7 and 9, in celebration of International Anti-Corruption Day.

According to the Ombudsman’s website, the clearance would typically cost P150.

The free clearance is available in the ombudsman offices in Quezon City and the Visayas and Mindanao.

Anyone can apply, particularly representatives or heads of government agencies and offices bureaus and chairs or representatives of the Judicial and Bar Council, the Commission on Appointment, and similar offices.

Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin recently stated that clearances from the Civil Service Commission and the Office of the Ombudsman would now be required for those who want to join the executive branch.
