LEGAZPI CITY — Anti-narcotics agents arrested two suspected drug traders and recovered more than P42,000 worth of “shabu” (crystal meth) in separate buy-bust operations on Wednesday and Thursday, Nov. 30 and Dec. 1, in the Bicol region.
In Camarines Sur province, Richard Caballero, 37, was arrested at 3:40 a.m. on Thursday in Barangay San Felipe in Naga City.
Senior Master Sergeant Tobias Bongon, Naga City police spokesperson, said Caballero sold a sachet of shabu worth P7,500 to an undercover agent in the area.
Authorities recovered three more sachets of shabu during the body search.
Bongon said P35,360 worth of shabu was confiscated from Caballero.
In Daet town, Camarines Norte province, “Junior,” 55, was arrested at 8:20 a.m. on Wednesday in a hotel in Barangay Mancruz.
Lieutenant Colonel Arnel de Jesus, Daet police chief, said in a report that a gram of shabu worth about P6,800 was recovered from the suspect.
The suspects face charges of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. INQ
