Batangas village chief gunned down

Ferry collides with motorbanca

LUCENA CITY — A 59-year-old barangay captain in Lemery town in Batangas province was shot and killed on Tuesday by motorcycle-riding gunmen.

Batangas police, in a report Wednesday, Nov. 23, said Enrico Renwick Razon, Barangay District 3 chief, was traveling around 5:30 p.m. with three others aboard a Toyota Fortuner in Ayao-Iyao village when the motorcycle-riding assailants appeared.

The gunman repeatedly shot Razon, who was hit on his back. The assailants sped off towards Calaca town after the shooting.

Razon died while being taken to the Metro-Lemery Medical Center.

The police are conducting an investigation to identify the killers and establish their motives.
