Albay suspends Saturday classes due to heavy rains

LEGAZPI CITY – Classes in Albay province were suspended Saturday due to continuous heavy rains triggered by the Inter Tropical Convergence Zone.

In an advisory, Albay Governor Noel Rosal said classes in all levels in both public and private schools were suspended as heavy rains may lead to river swelling, localized flooding, and landslides.

The suspension includes the conduct of the National Service Training Program (NSTP) in college and remedial classes in elementary and high school.
