2 ‘high-value’ suspects yield P2.5M illegal drugs in Rizal, Cavite
LUCENA CITY – Police anti-narcotics operatives seized more than P2.5 million worth of illegal drugs consisting of “shabu” (crystal meth) and marijuana from two suspected big-time drug traffickers on Wednesday (Nov. 16) night in buy-bust operations in Rizal and Cavite provinces.
According to the Police Regional Office 4A (PRO4A), members of the region’s drug enforcement unit, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency agents and local policemen nabbed Lester De Borja at 7:05 p.m. in a sting operation inside a subdivision at Barangay San Roque in Antipolo City, Rizal.
Authorities confiscated from the suspect illegal drugs that include 13 bricks of dried marijuana leaves or “weed” wrapped in plastics with a total weight of 13 kilos.
Police said the seized weed had an estimated Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB) value of P1,560,000.
Meanwhile, in Dasmarinas City, Cavite, anti-illegal drug operatives from the same police groups also collared Yusop Pangandag Yasin in the village of San Agustin II at 10:22 p.m.

Article continues after this advertisementPolice were tracking down the source of marijuana and shabu peddled by the suspects, who were both classified as “high-value” targets in the war on illegal drugs.
The suspects were placed in police custody and faced charges of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. INQ
