DSWD seeks kin of abandoned kids

THE Department of Social Welfare and Development in Central Visayas is seeking the assistance of the public in locating the parents and relatives of the abandoned babies.

A baby boy estimated to be 6-9 months old was found on Nov. 9, 2011 around 6 a.m. along the streets of Kasambagan in Cebu City. He was cuddled by a certain Cipriano Artajo Jr., who was believed to have behavioral problems.

Ronald Gadiana, born on May 4, 2011 to Margie D. Gadiana, was abandoned by her mother on June 2, 2011 at the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center in Cebu City.

A newly born baby boy was found on May 22, 2011 at 4:45 p.m. in the male comfort room of St. Joseph Church, Mandaue City by a certain Martina B. Gerra.

Failure of the parents and relatives to appear or claim the children within two months will subject the latter for abandonment.

Concerned parties may see social workers Grenadier Noel and Sheba S. Dabon at the DSWD-7 office on M.J. Cuenco Avenue corner Gorordo Avenue, Cebu City or contact them at 233-8779.
