Active COVID-19 cases drop below 1,000 mark in Calabarzon

LUCENA CITY — The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Calabarzon region dropped below the 1,000 mark, the latest data showed.

As of 3 p.m. on Monday, November 14, the Health Education and Promotion Unit of DOH–Calabarzon reported that the number of active COVID-19 cases in the region declined to 927 from the 1,410 recorded on November 1.

The data also showed that only 1,654 new COVID-19 infections were recorded in the same period.

The authorities listed 8,038 cases in October and 7,221 in September.

The latest figures showed that Laguna topped the list with 290 active cases followed by Cavite with 250; Batangas with 190; Rizal with 109; Quezon, 88.

The regional health authorities did not provide information on the COVID-19 variants of the active cases in the region.
