Over P1.5M illegal drugs seized in Central Luzon
OLONGAPO CITY — More than P1.5 million worth of illegal drugs were confiscated in various police operations in Central Luzon in the past week.
The Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) said in a report that 235.77 grams of “shabu” (crystal meth) were seized from 151 suspects, who were arrested between Oct. 31 and Nov. 6.
The total Dangerous Drug Board value of the haul was pegged at P1,598,000, the PRO3 said, adding that P24,300 worth of marijuana was also seized during the same period.
At least 400 other people were arrested last week, including fugitives facing murder, homicide, and rape cases.
PRO3 said 90 more people were apprehended as part of a crackdown on illegal gambling in the region. INQ
