LEGAZPI CITY — Four suspected drug personalities yielded more than P3 million worth of “shabu” (crystal meth) in separate buy-bust operations in Naga City in Camarines Sur province on Monday night (November 7).

Police Senior Master Sergeant Tobias Bongon, Naga City police spokesperson, said Nerissa Belga, 40, and her live-in partner, Gian Carlo Banzagalez, 26, were arrested in Barangay (village) Concepcion Pequeña at around 11:40 p.m. after they sold a sachet or 50 grams of shabu for P150,000 to an undercover agent.

During the body search, the authorities also recovered nine sachets of shabu while the other six weighing 405 grams were wrapped with packing tape.

Bongon said a total of P3,094,000 worth of shabu was recovered from the suspects who were both tagged as high-value drug personalities.

Meanwhile, in Barangay Peñafrancia, Julian Reafor, 50, was also arrested after selling a sachet of shabu worth P3,000 at around 8:50 p.m.

During the body search, four sachets or 2.5 grams of shabu worth P17,000 were confiscated.

Reafor was also tagged as a high-value drug suspect and included in the illegal drugs watch list in the Bicol region.

Another suspect in Barangay Pacol, Josephine Mores, 47, was arrested for selling five sachets of shabu worth P3,000 at around 6:20 p.m. Mores was under surveillance for illegal drug activities before he was arrested.

The suspects were facing charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
