LEGAZPI CITY — A former New People’s Army rebel, who is facing multiple charges, was arrested on Thursday, Nov. 3, in Labo town in Camarines Norte province.
The Camarines Norte police said Friday that the lawmen served the arrest warrants against “Oming,” 49, at 4:40 p.m.
Oming is facing four counts of murder, three counts of frustrated murder, three counts of rape, and acts of lasciviousness.
He was allegedly involved in an encounter at Barangay Dumagmang in 2018, where two soldiers were killed and two others were injured.
The suspect was placed in police custody. INQ
