3 wanted rapists fall in Calabarzon

Classes in Cavite and Laguna provinces were suspended from Nov. 2 to 5 following the onslaught of Severe Tropical Storm Paeng (international name: Nalgae).

LUCENA CITY — Police arrested Tuesday three wanted rapists in the Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Riza, Quezon) region.

Brigadier General Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr., commander of Police Regional Office 4A, identified in a report the arrested suspects as Randolph Bitong, Jean Claude Casilisilihan, and Felipe Opolentisima Jr.

The report said cops armed with arrest warrants first caught around 1:30 a.m. Bitong, who was accused of three counts of qualified statutory rape, three counts of qualified rape through sexual assault, and acts of lasciviousness in Barangay Canlubang in Calamba City.

Casilisilihan, who faces charges of statutory rape in Batangas City court, was nabbed around 9:15 a.m. in Barangay Umiray in General Nakar, Quezon.

Meanwhile, police in Lipa City collared around 11:30 a.m. Opolentisima, who faces a rape case in a city court in Barangay 1.
