MANILA, Philippines — Quezon City Rep. Patrick Michael Vargas has filed House Bill No. 4645 that would make the last week of August of every year National Frontliners Week.

HB 4645 would mandate the Department of Health, the Department of Labor and Employment, the Department of the Interior and Local Government, the Civil Service Commission, and other government agencies to “conduct activities and programs that promote the principles and values espoused by our front-line workers as well as those that underscore, honor and/or reward our front-line workers for their essential role in nation-building and for their significant contribution in protecting public welfare.”
