2 ex-drug convicts busted anew in Lucena City
LUCENA CITY — Police on Monday arrested two former drug convicts in this city and seized more than P24,000 worth of “shabu” (crystal meth).
Lieutenant Colonel Reynaldo Reyes, city police chief, said they arrested Roberto Transporte, 51, and Juvan Alaban, 27, during a buy-bust operation at 9:15 a.m. in Barangay Dalahican.
Authorities seized five sachets of shabu worth P24,480.
The police said Transporte and Alaban were on the drug watch list as suppliers of illegal drugs to users in the coastal village.
The suspects are back in jail and facing charges of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. INQ
