4 alleged drug traders yield P121,000 meth in Quezon, Rizal provinces

Over P330,000 shabu seized from 3 drug traffickers in Quezon

LUCENA CITY — Police seized more than P121,000 worth of “shabu” (crystal meth) from four suspects in buy-bust operations on Thursday, Oct. 20, in Rizal and Quezon provinces.

The Police Regional Office 4A reported that drug enforcers in Cainta, Rizal, collared at around 3 a.m. Emmanuel Cortez after he sold shabu to a poseur buyer in Barangay San Juan.

Seized from the suspect were 12 sachets of shabu with a Dangerous Drugs Board value of about P54,400.

Earlier at 2:10 a.m., police nabbed Gerardo Caoili in Barangay Ibabang Dupay and confiscated P34,000 worth of meth and a motorcycle believed to have been used in his illegal drug trade.

The suspects were detained at the local police jails and are facing charges of violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. INQ
