Ex-communist rebel yields in Zambales
SAN ANTONIO, Zambales–Another former member of a communist rebel group surrendered to government forces in this province, authorities said Tuesday, Oct. 18.
In a report, the Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) identified the man as “Ka Jaime,” who used to be a member of the Militiang Bayan Iskwad Tres operating in the province.
Ka Jaime turned himself in to the local police. Various police units in the province facilitated his surrender.
According to the PRO3, Ka Jaime also surrendered his 12-gauge improvised shotgun and a hand grenade.
Ka Jaime was among the three former communist rebels in Central Luzon who surrendered to the government that day.
