Maymay leaves 57 areas flooded as Neneng nears northern Luzon
MANILA, Philippines – Tropical Depression Maymay left 57 areas flooded in northern Luzon as of Saturday, according to the latest report from the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC).
The NDRRMC released the report as Tropical Depression Neneng nears the Philippine landmass in northern Luzon, according to a forecast of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
According to the NDRRMC’s situational report on Maymay, a total of 106 areas were reportedly flooded by Maymay, but 49 of these floods have already subsided, said the NDRRMC. The NDRRMC said 57 areas are still flooded. Of those still flooded, 55 are in the Cagayan Valley.
On Saturday, Pagasa placed Cagayan under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 1 as Tropical Depression Neneng nears northern Luzon’s landmass.
