Ang Galing Pinoy party-list Representative Juan Miguel “Mikey” Arroyo on Monday denied that his wife, Angela Montenegro Arroyo, was entering politics.

“It’s not true and it’s not worth talking about,” said Mikey in a text message, following talk that his mother, former President turned Pampanga Representative Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, was giving up her House seat in favor of his wife.

“I have no idea,” both Minority Leader and Quezon Representative Danilo Suarez and Deputy Minority Leader and Zambales Representative Milagros Magsaysay said in separate text messages.

Angela Arroyo was said to be applying for a change of address next week in preparation for her election bid, after her mother-in-law, who is under police detention, was said not to be seeking reelection next year.
