LUCENA CITY — Police arrested on Thursday a notorious drug trader and two other suspects in a buy-bust operation in this city.
Lieutenant Colonel Reynaldo Reyes, Lucena police chief, reported that members of the city drug enforcement unit collared Tristan Obnamia, Ken Lopez and Wendell Cabuyao at 8 p.m. after they sold P500 worth of “shabu” (crystal meth) to an undercover in Barangay Ibabang Dupay.
Authorities seized from the suspects five sachets of shabu worth P24,888 in the street market.
The local police tagged Obnamia as a notorious shabu peddler, while Lopez and Cabuyao were identified as rookies in the illegal drug trade.
A police agent said Obnamia’s group operates in the barangay and nearby areas.
The suspects were detained and are facing charges of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. INQ
