Cloudy skies with showers expected in parts of PH

MANILA, Philippines — Several parts of Luzon may have overcast skies with rain showers on Monday due to the easterlies  — that is, the warm winds coming from the Pacific Ocean — and the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said on Sunday.

Due to the easterlies, cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms are expected over Isabela, Aurora, Quezon, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, and Catanduanes, according to Pagasa weather specialist Patrick Del Mundo.

Most parts of Mindanao may have overcast skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the ITCZ.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have a fair weather with partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers and thunderstorms.

Pagasa did not raise gale warning in any seaboards nationwide.
