MANILA, Philippines — A magnitude 4.1 earthquake jolted Surigao del Sur on Tuesday, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).
The quake was tectonic in origin and was recorded at 2:00 a.m. Its epicenter was located 65 kilometers northeast of Cortes, Surigao del Sur, with a depth of focus of seven kilometers.
Phivolcs reported no intensities, and no aftershocks and damages are expected as well.
