OLONGAPO CITY, Zambales, Philippines — Classes at all levels in public and private schools and work in government offices in the Subic Bay Freeport are suspended on Monday, Sept. 26, due to Typhoon Karding (international name: Noru).
Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) announced the suspension on Sunday night, Sept. 25.
The SBMA also advised the public that the job fair and motorcade that was set for Monday as part of the celebration of the National Tourism week was postponed.
As of 8 p.m., the state weather bureau said in a bulletin that Karding slightly weakened and is downgraded to typhoon category as it is about to make its landfall in Dingalan, Aurora.
Zambales is still under Signal No. 4.
