Landslide-hit Manila North Road in Pagudpud still impassable

LAOAG CITY, Ilocos Norte — The Manila North Road in Pagudpud town in Ilocos Norte province remained impassable on Friday, Sept. 16, or six days after major landslides occurred along the highway.

In the latest advisory from the Department of Public Works and Highways, the road located at Pancian village in Pagudpud was still closed to all vehicles.

The DPWH said the Ilocos Norte-Apayao road could serve as a possible alternate route from Ilocos Norte going to provinces in the Cagayan Valley and vice versa.
