3 drug suspects nabbed in Bicol buy-busts

LEGAZPI CITY — Anti-narcotics agents arrested three suspected drug traders and recovered “shabu” (crystal meth) worth more than P80,000 in separate buy-bust operations on Thursday, Sept 15, in the Bicol region.
Major Maria Luisa Calubaquib, spokesperson for the Bicol police, reported that Arnel Discaya, 35, was arrested around 7 p.m. at Barangay Balogo in Sorsogon City, Sorsogon province.
Authorities recovered two sachets of shabu worth P6,120.
In Albay, Randy Atun, 42, was arrested at 2:55 p.m. in Barangay Peñaranda.
Recovered was a gram of shabu worth P6,800 and P500 buy-bust money.
In Paracale town in Camarines Norte, Jeffrey Grijalde, 45, was also arrested at 3:50 p.m. in Barangay Bagumbayan.
Confiscated were 10 grams of shabu worth about P68,000.
The suspects, who are on the illegal drugs watch list in their provinces, face charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. INQ
