PCG officer saves 5-year-old girl from drowning in Misamis Occidental

MANILA, Philippines — A Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) personnel saved a five-year-old girl who nearly drowned while swimming with her family at a beach resort in Clarin, Misamis Occidental.
In a statement on Thursday, the PCG said one of their personnel responded to the incident that occurred along the Rama Beach shoreline on Wednesday while performing coastal security patrol.
PCG Seaman First Class Kevin Siclot saved the child after successfully performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
In addition, PCG also requested help from the Municipality of Clarin’s Local Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office and asked for an ambulance to bring the victim to the closest hospital. Lyka Farillon, INQUIRER.net intern
