Yamada was taken to the Divine Grace Hospital in the city. The Japanese, an official of a company engaged in electronics, is now in stable condition, police said.

The report described the driver of the green Yamaha Mio motorcycle as wearing an orange upper garment, a uniform of a famous delivery service company, while his back-rider was sporting black long-sleeved clothes.

The police are investigating the incident further to unmask the motorcycle riders and establish the motive behind the assassination attempt.

Colonel Christopher Olazo, Cavite police officer-in-charge, ordered all police stations in the province to conduct a dragnet operation for their arrest.
