2 suspects yield P106,000 ‘shabu’ in Quezon province
LUCENA CITY — Police confiscated more than P106,000 worth of “shabu” (crystal meth) from two drug suspects arrested during a buy-bust operation on Thursday, Sept. 8, in Candelaria town, Quezon province.
Quezon police reported that anti-narcotics agents collared around 9:15 p.m. Lope Hernandez, 48, and Jennalyn Erosa, 24, after selling a pack of shabu to an undercover police in Barangay Masin Norte.
Authorities seized four sachets of shabu worth P106,080 in the street market.
Anonymous callers tipped off the authorities about the illegal activities through the police hotlines. Police and reformed drug users confirmed the information.
The suspects were detained and will be charged with violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. INQ
