2 big-time drug traffickers busted in Cavite, yield P2-M shabu
LUCENA CITY — Two suspected big-time traffickers were arrested in a buy-bust operation in Imus City, Cavite province, and yielded over P2 million worth of shabu (crystal meth) before midnight on Saturday, September 3.
The Cavite police public information office said in a report on Sunday that Asnihaya Mimbalawag, 20, and Naif Ampuan, 20, both residents of Marawi City, were collared around 11:55 p.m. in a buy-bust operation in Barangay (village) Pasong Buwaya 2.
Authorities seized three plastic sachets of meth weighing 300 grams with an estimated Dangerous Drugs Board value of P2,040,000.
The police were tracking the source of the illegal drugs.
The report also said that Mimbalawag and Ampuan were included on the drug watch list as “HVI” or high-value individuals in the local drug scene.
Both suspects are under police custody and face charges of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
